A Letter From Our Principal

Thank you for your interest in Saint Gabriel Catholic School. As the first teacher hired five years ago, I am both honored and humbled to now be your principal.  We firmly believe in the mission and philosophy of Catholic Education, and have a passion for working with God’s children, and their families. All faculty and staff strive to provide the tools necessary to promote both spiritual and academic growth for all of our students.

My educational experience includes 20 years of teaching, with thirteen of those years being in Catholic schools. I graduated from VA Tech in 1984, and earned a Masters in Education from the University of Phoenix in 2003.

Our Catholic Christian identity is a very important part of our school community. Students and staff attend Mass weekly, and all classes participate in community service projects.  We partner with parents who are the primary educators of their children.  Parents support us with their time, talents, and treasures for the benefit of all St. Gabriel’s students. Our students show their love for Christ and others by looking after one another, treating their peers with respect, doing their best every day, and caring for the environment. We encourage families to promote Corporal and Spiritual Works of Mercy outside of school.

Saint Gabriel teachers and staff believe in educating the whole child. Therefore, we are pleased to implement the Core Knowledge curriculum, as well as after school activities.

Please explore our website and contact us with any questions that you may have. All are welcome to inquire about joining our Guardian family.

Yours in Christ,

Florence Jordan
