Nerissa Lopez-1st Grade

Mrs. Lopez spent her youth growing up here in Las Vegas. She graduated from the Valley High School Travel and Tourism Magnet Program. She worked at the foreign currency exchange at the airport while attending UNLV. Mrs. Lopez graduated on the dean’s honor list in 2013, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. Education is empowering and the gateway for freedom and success. Henceforth, she recently obtained a Teaching English to Learners of Other Languages endorsement for her NV state licensure. Mrs. Lopez looks forward to obtaining her Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction in December 2017.
 
Mrs. Lopez understands the trenches of balance in parenthood and career. She has three daughters, a husband of fifteen years, a dog, cat, and a pot belly pig. She is an active parishioner at St. Viator Catholic Church, where she attends mass with her extended family. Mrs. Lopez has overcome great obstacles in her life. Faith in Jesus, education, and hope have driven her successes. She upholds that the best is yet to come. In her free time, she enjoys nature, gardening, reading, laughter, and family vacations.
