Physical Education: Coach Ron Perkowski

Ronald Perkowski was born in Glen Cove, New York.  He  attended   St. Patrick's elementary school and Glen Cove High School.  In both elementary and high school he played the trumpet in the marching   band. Later on he attended Parsons College in Iowa for two years and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in business and   accounting from University of Nevada at Las Vegas.  

Ron's entire career was spent working in Las Vegas with Sprint and Embarq telephone company.  During his work career he coached company softball teams, Little League for nine years, youth basketball and bowling.  Prior to coming to SGCS Ron was the P.E. teacher for 300 students at Southern Highlands Preparatory school for two years.

Coach Ron and his wife Carol have four children and nine grandchildren and are members of St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church. He loves to play golf in his spare time and enjoys having a hot tea at The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf.  A lifelong fan of the New York Yankees he also roots for the UNLV Rebels and Missouri Tigers.  

Coach Ron is enthusiastic about assisting the students at Saint Gabriel become physically fit, to learn the rules of various sports, and instill the values of good sportsmanship.
