Saint Gabriel Catholic School Policies

RACIALLY NONDISCRIMINATORY POLICY OF SAINT GABRIEL CATHOLIC SCHOOL

It is the policy of Saint Gabriel Catholic School to admit students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.

REGISTRATION/ADMISSION POLICY:

Registration Priorities are established as follows:

I. Active registered parishioners at Saint Gabriel Church, who are attending Mass regularly.

(Mass attendance is measured by the “frequency” of envelopes deposited during weekend Masses, not by the dollar amount of donations.) You must have been registered in the parish for at least one year and have frequent participation at Mass as measured by envelopes submitted to be considered as an active parishioner for admission to the school.

Other factors to be considered:

Stewardship to the parish in “Time, talent, and treasure”

II. Catholic families registered and participating at other parishes.

(Please include a letter from your current Parish noting active participation.)

III. Other parishioners not meeting the “active” criteria.

IV. Other applicants, inactive Catholic or non-Catholic

(If there are more qualified applicants than there are available seats, placements will be made based on the highest level of participation. In the event of a tie or if necessary, placement will be made on a “first come, first served” basis.)
